Story

Hi everyone, I was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer for the 3rd time. I'm raising money for the RNOH in London, a specialist bone/soft tissue tumour treatment centre that so many Irish people travel to each year for some cutting edge cancer treatments that are unavailable in Ireland.

In 2002, I was offered amputation to treat an aggressive bone tumour in Ireland; luckily, I was referred to the experts at the RNOH in London, who were able to eradicate the bone cancer AND leave me with a functioning limb, and I'm not doing too badly these days (see my Instagram a/c ha ha)! ;-)

In March 2019, following 5 weeks of radiotherapy treatment, I will once again undergo specialist surgery at the RNOH to remove a rare type of soft tissue tumour that was recently discovered on my right arm.

The RNOH has had its funding cut quite significantly in recent years, so I'm holding a fundraising event on 7th December at Oskars, Dunmore Road, Waterford, to raise money for a facility where cutting-edge cancer research and life-changing treatments for Irish people take place.

All I ask is that anyone wishing to attend the event makes an online contribution to the RNOH charity here.Your contribution will help the RNOH, whether you donate a lot or a little. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to seeing you all on 7th December at Oskars from 8.30 p.m.

Please note: all monies kindly donated here will go directly to the RNOH Charity.

DJ Gavin Boyce has very kindly agreed to DJ on the night in a pro bono capacity.

There will also be a raffle on the night - proceeds from raffle tickets will go directly to the Solas Cancer Support Centre in Waterford.
