Barmouth to Yarmouth · 1 April 2015

Every week in the UK, around two families are told their child has neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We fund leading research projects to deliver new, effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. With your help we can save more young lives.

Story

Hi, I'm Theo Featherstone. I'm a 17 year old survivor of neuroblastoma, which I contracted when I was 2.

My friend, Oliver Bevilacqua and I have just completed our 315 mile cycle from Barmouth to Yarmouth in 5 days, starting on the 29th March and finishing on Thursday 2nd April.   It was wet and very windy some of the time, but the wind was behind us, and the last day was sunny as we crossed Norfolk to the finish at the Britannia Pier.  There are some pictures below or for the full story please see my blog at https://b2y4c.wordpress.com/

I'm hoping to aid the Neuroblastoma Society, whose fundraising efforts made possible research allowing treatment to become far more effective.

Thank you for all your donations!  And thanks to everyone who helped us on the road, especially to Ben Sharp for all his support, to Jane Holmes in Shropshire who gave us such welcome hospitality after the first day on the road, to Simon at Fix My Bike in Leicester who sorted out a small technical problem with my bike, and to all the staff at the Caravanning and Camping Club campsites at which we stayed. Thanks too to Eleanor and Paul, Jane de Falbe, Nicholas Baring, Tim Knox, and many others, for their offline donations.
