Challenge Date - 14th/15th June

We as a team are doing this challenge to try and make a big
difference to a growing yet very important charity. We all know people who suffer from mental health issues and feel this is an excellent opportunity to highlight the AndysManClub charity and the great work they do.

A little about this year's charity:-

At ANDYSMANCLUB, they want to eliminate the stigma
surrounding mental health and create a judgement-free, confidential space where men can be open about the storms in their lives. They aim to achieve this through weekly, free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups for men aged over18.

According to the office of national statistics in 2021 74%
of all registered suicides were male and this number is increasing every year

The challenge:-

The Lyke Wake Walk is a complete crossing of the North
Yorkshire Moors from west to east. It starts at Osmotherley, in the west and runs to Ravenscar, on the eastern coast of Yorkshire.

The Lyke Wake Walk challenge involves completing the 42 mile route in under 24 hours. It's a challenging walk starting as an overnight walk, there are several steep ascents and some tricky sections across areas of peat bog. However, there is lots of beautiful moorland scenery and spectacular views from the high points which reach a peak of almost 1500ft at Bolton Head. The team aim to complete this challenge in 18 hours.
