We are raising money for Balfour Beatty’s Building Better Futures Trust, a new charitable partnership with Action for Children and The Prince’s Trust. Set up in 2009, when Balfour Beatty entered its centenary year, the trust will fund community projects that will help raise the aspirations, motivation and quality of life amongst young people suffering from disadvantage in the .

 

Beat The Moon 19 September 2009

 

This unique challenge takes place in the . It involves cycling, trekking and canoeing all in one day.

Leaving early just before sunrise, the challenge is to complete all the activities before we see the moon:

 

Bike from Ambleside to Langdale - 9 miles
Trek to Wasdale Head - 9 miles
Canoe Wast Water - 1 mile
Run along the side of Wast Water - 1 mile
