Story

This summer, Sunday 13th July 2014, we are hosting a BBQ for Cancer Research UK. It would be great if you could come along and help us cook up some cash to beat cancer sooner.

Cancer is an illness that whether we like it or not, is fast effecting us all in some way.  There are people amongst our friends and their families who are just starting their fight; there are some whom have been diagnosed, fought hard and kicked it's butt; and then there are those that have given their all, given everything that they have but are sadly no longer with us.  All of these people, no matter where they are in their cancer story, is what this BBQ is all about.

We are a little obsessed with BBQ food at the moment; OK, well perhaps just Stuart, but we thought what better way to raise some money for an amazing cause than by putting his midnight NYE purchase of a Pro-Q BBQ smoker to good use and smoke up some meaty goodness for you all.  We get to spend the day with the people that mean the most to us, remember those that we've lost and raise money for those that not only need it now, but for those of us who may sadly need it in the future.

The plan is to serve 18 hour smoked pulled pork in a brioche bun, with homemade coleslaw and a variety of sides.  If people wish they can bring dessert, but make sure it's not one each or we'll be over run with them!

Our garden is only so big, so we plan to serve it in a couple of sittings, so if you could let us know if you can make it then we work out the timings and confirm the final plans back to you.

Donations can be made direct to the page or given on the day.  Either way you'll be bringing forward the day when all cancers are cured. Thank you!
