In all my years in Merton, I have never felt as proud or inspired by my hometown as I do right now. At a time when we’re all being forced apart, what I’ve actually seen is a community come together.

Whether it is phoning friends who may be on their own or asking neighbours if they need any further support; I’ve heard stories of people and charities from across the borough stepping up to lend a hand.

That's why for my 30th I am running 30km over 3 days to raise money for the Merton Giving Coronavirus Fund. To help provide monetary grants to charities working locally to help older people and other vulnerable groups at risk of coronavirus.

Your donations will be used to help support volunteers to deliver shopping and other vital assistance to vulnerable people who are isolated in their homes.
