Horizons Foundation for Children because now more than ever the small things can make a big difference. The Foundation is committed to supporting children and families in the UK experiencing trauma, crisis and disadvantage as a result of domestic and sexual abuse, homelessness, poverty, ill health, displacement and parental imprisonment. The Foundation makes a difference through its 88 Bright Spaces throughout the UK, which are beautiful play environments designed to help children recover from trauma through play. Bright Spaces are located in refuges, child protection interview suites in police stations, courts, hospices and prison visiting areas. In addition, the Foundation responds to the needs of vulnerable families by providing basic supplies, resources and equipment to families who need them.
