A group of Manchester BJSS'ers had the bright idea (whilst in the pub) to start running in January of this year. Nine of us started out on the Couch to 5K app with the majority of us having not attempted to 'run' since school. Three lunchtimes per week we pounded the pavements around the city centre come rain or shine and just reached the finish line of 5K when COVID-19 hit. We had talked of doing a Park Run together the celebrate what we had achieved but lockdown put paid to this. Fast forward 5 months and we have continued to run our way through lockdown resulting in improving our running times, distance and with one member even joining a local running club! When we saw that The Booth Centre were doing a Virtual 10K in place of the cancelled Manchester 10K we thought, why not!

Please help us to reach our target and spur us on to complete our challenge. Some of us will be doing this around Sale/Chorlton Water Park together (socially distanced of course) whilst others will be completing the 10K closer to home. This will be done in September which is when the rescheduled Manchester 10K was due to take place.
