The Matt Hampson Foundation inspires and supports young people seriously injured through sport. Through expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice, the Foundation helps people with life-changing injuries to get busy living again.

Story

Benoît stopped rugby three years ago (he thinks he was a decent rugby player, despite being French). A very normal shoulder dislocation surgery + 2 children + busy professional environment made him stop, nothing to really complain about. He is lucky enough never to have been seriously injured in 27 years of rugby, and hopes his sons will have the same chance. He has run three marathons since.

Jean-Stéphane is a machine. Born competitor, he thrives on defying working colleagues in several sporting challenges. The last one, Silverstone half marathon, is not only about the 1h30mn threshold at half marathon, to which he got close twice (1h31mn36sec) ... But also the possibility of taking the better on his old "enemy" Benoît. He is so willing on this that his friend Fabien promised to make a huge donation if those targets were achieved ... As if he needed that to be motivated !

More seriously,

Besides loving wine and especially Macon, we are both running circles and being nightmares when we cannot train or spend energy. So we remain somehow rugby players/sportsmen who understand the price and the chance of being able to run on our legs.

Hence the choice of Matt Hampson Foundation ...
