Lynsey Talbot is raising money for Blackburn Rovers Community Trust UK

Blackburn Rovers Christmas Initiative · 23 December 2020

BRCT is fully committed to delivering a comprehensive and diverse range of community initiatives to open up new avenues of life chances & make a positive difference to the lives of the people of Blackburn. This is achieved through the successful delivery of education, inclusion & awareness projects.

Story

BRFC, in partnership with their Community Trust, Sodexo, and the Cardboard Box Company, are raising funds to provide 600 Christmas Day food boxes to those most in need around the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen.

Initially, with your help, we will provide the ingredients to cook a healthy Christmas lunch for the families along with some snacks and treats to enjoy on the day.

Any donations over and above this will go towards funding similar initiatives beyond the Christmas period and into the New Year.

Players and staff at the Club and Trust have already donated almost £5,000, a further £5,000 has been provided by the Trust towards the Christmas Day initiative from funds allocated to them by the Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside. £5,000 has also been donated by the Trust out of other fundraising efforts by them.
