Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

My lovely Dad has Parkinson's. One day there might be a cure, and I like to think we can help make that day come sooner by raising a bit of money for research. So when my husband decided climbing Kili was a great idea for our honeymoon, and then talked me into it, I thought trying to raise a bit of money would encourage me to keep putting one foot in front of the other and make it to the summit. So if you are able to make a donation, not only will you be helping the charity, you'll be helping to preserve my marriage too ;-) The Dowding-Stevens will be heading off at the end of June to Africa, meeting up with our co-climbers, the dynamic Daniel Garrard and the lovely Sarah Morris, before beginning our ascent via the Lemosho route on July 5. The plan is to reach the summit, Uhuru, about eight days later - fingers crossed!

Massive thanks in advance - Melanie
