On the 14th April this year we had to say goodbye to our beautiful little boy Arlo Jonah Moran after just 44 precious hours on this earth.

Arlo's passing was sudden and unexpected and while his spirit is very much still alive in our home, dealing with this loss has been and continues to be incredibly difficult for our family.

In our time of need SANDS has been able to provide us with several means of support; from the memory box we received in the NICU to help us create keepsakes we will always treasure to the little white coffin provided to us as his forever bed as well as the support meetings I have attended in Derry in the time since.

No parent should have to suffer the loss of a baby but when they do SANDS is there to provide support and healing and are always working to reduce the rate of miscarriage and neonatal death.

We want to support this important work in memory of our little boy blue and are planning a number of fundraisers in the upcoming months starting with my brother Noel running the Dublin marathon on October 29th in Arlo's name. I will update with further fundraisers once they are confirmed.
