NZF’s homeless project for Muslim women in South London was established in October 2012. To operate the 14-bed project, NZF has commissioned St Mungo’s, the country’s leading homelessness charity. The project now houses 50-60 of London’s most vulnerable Muslim women each year.

Zakat/Sadaqah funds raised for this campaign will go directly to funding this critical service for those women are in desperate need of a caring housing environment but who would not be able to afford such a provision themselves.

Some funds have already been acquired for the next year’s worth of activity, but a further £100,000 will support just over eight months of operation of this initiative, providing solace and support in a way that not only transforms the life of a few dozen women, but rather an entire future generation that is in effect dependent on the wellbeing, confidence and faithfulness of our beneficiaries.

Baraka fundraised over half a million pounds to causes she held dear, supporting projects ranging from Macmillan Cancer Support, and Great Ormond Street Hospital, to the Cambridge Eco-Mosque Project.

This new partnership with the NZF aims to continue her legacy of doing good and help the most vulnerable from amongst our community.
