Support for the Pig Project · 2 December 2021

The Charity supports efforts to bring relief to deprived families and individuals in Tanzania, in particular children with disabilities. We focus on community-based rehabilitation and educational development projects in collaboration with the Amani Centre, Morogoro and other partners in Tanzania.

Story

As you all know, I have been supporting the Amani Centre for many years, and I am pleased to say they are still going strong despite the pandemic.  But it is a struggle.

My focus recently has been on a joint educational project with FOAT, developing the agriculture and animal husbandry at Mvomero School, and then using that environment for teaching vocational skills, ensuring the children are well equipped for their future.

I am hoping to raise the remaining funds still needed for the new pig house. This will enable Amani to increase the number of pigs they can keep to a total of fifty-five, which then becomes a self-sustaining project and will provide them with a good source of income for Mvomero School. The total budget for the project is £2500. We have already raised about £1600. leaving a shortfall of £900.

Thank you so much for your support.. It just makes such a difference.
