This JustGiving page is for donations to Vision Norfolk (previously known as 'Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind') in remembrance of Barbara Rose Lockwood.

Barbara spent many years of life troubled by sight problems, which affected her physically and emotionally for her entire life. As a child she reflected on the the bullying she received as the only one in the class with glasses, and the frustration of not being able to read the teacher's words on the chalk board. Throughout her life, Barbara would always dream of the things that 'could have been' if she'd have had better sight. Despite this, she did many amazing things!

One of these amazing things was spending 18 years dedicated to collecting donations for Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind (now Vision Norfolk). During this time she raised close to £20,000 for a charity that, in her eyes, was vital in ensuring anyone with an visual impairment could be supported to live an independent and fulfilled life.

Sadly, Barbara passed away peacefully just as Spring began on Tuesday 21st March 2023.
