Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I was asked last year to run the London marathon for DELTA, but unfortunately 8 weeks before hand it was apparent that the entries didn’t go through. This year i don’t think I’m getting out of it that easy, as I have my confirmation email! So I find myself here again, asking for your support in sponsoring me, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to help raise money for a charity which has supported Tom and his family so much.  Tom, now 5 who I nannied  for, for nearly 4 years and have known since birth, was found to be partially deaf when he was just a few weeks old, when he was fitted with hearing aids. DELTA (Deaf Education Through Listening and Talking) is a self funding charity which supports deaf children and their families. Toms family have been to several DELTA events and come away feeling positive and full of ideas of how to support Tom to listen and talk just like all children. They’ve also given them a chance to meet with other deaf children and young people. DELTA believe that with the right support and equipment, deaf children can listen and talk, and you couldn’t get a better example than Tom. Despite some ups and downs, he is a non stop chatterbox!
