Barry's Big bike ride for BHF

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm a bus driver for Stagecoach Southeast and drive out of Dover depot. On the 1st June this year one of my colleagues, Keith Chapman, suffered a heart attack a few hours after finishing his shift, and passed away. I'd spent some time speaking to Keith and he'd shared stories with me of his barefoot marathon running etc. It was all quite inspiring to me as I am just over a year into my cycling journey. To celebrate a year of improved fitness and health I wanted to do something to give a bit back. I have decided, on the 24/08/2019 to cycle around all of the 8 depots of Stagecoach Southeast in a day to raise some much needed funds for the British Heart Foundation. The trip will start in Eastbourne and end in Canterbury via Hastings, Ashford, Dover, Thanet and Herne Bay - around 110 hilly miles in a day!
I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
