We work in some of the world's poorest places, where people suffer the effects of conflicts beyond their control. We are specialists in supporting communities that are remote, difficult to get to and difficult to work in. Put simply, we help children in places other charities just don't go.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 23rd April 2017 I will embark on my single most toughest challenges, ever. The London Marathon!

Back in 1999 my best friend Martin Friend was killed. I have long since talked about doing something in his memory and the charity the family choose to support, 'Children in Crisis'.

This life changing tragedy begins in Orpington in Kent in 1999 with a phone call, and it ends nine years later in the eastern Congo, one of the most remote and hostile places on earth, with the opening of a school.

Any sponsorship money raised will go to finding the education of children. This is of paramount importance in today’s world and it is one of the reasons why Children in Crisis exists.

At Children in Crisis - children are centric to everything they do. They believe in a moral duty to protect and nurture the most vulnerable and dependent children in our society. Through education, they have a fairer chance in life, and above all, it allows them to flourish as a human being and to contribute positively to their families, and society.
