Master swimmers, committee member's, ex-swimmers and Alkmaar  DAW SC have joined together to race down the River Avon on 9 September in a Dragon boat! This is our second year of entering. We surprised ourselves last year by recording the quickest time! This year we are in it to win it! 11 in a boat with Paul Sartain as drummer boy (hoping he has rhythm this year or at least his team of 10 listen to him!) , paddling as fast as our arms can possibly paddle in a race to the finish line, we can do it! Fred Heemstra (Alkmaar DAW swimmer and dragon boat extraordinaire) will be our special guest and secret weapon.  If you can show your support for us silly old fools and Wizzybug by donating, we would really appreciate it. If you fancy a giggle we wouldn't mind a support group on the day, so come along, think we will need it!! 

To make us look even more ridiculous we'll be  highly visible in fancy dress. If there are any nice people out there that could sponsorship a costume or fancy a bit of advertising please let one of us know. I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures taken and shared through many media channels,  even if we are being rescued.
