Welcome to the /r/StarWarsBattlefront Holiday Charity Event!

We are holding a mini competition for our subreddit and Discord communities to see which Star Wars character people support more for the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker.

Donations this year are going to Starlight Children's Foundation.  Starlight Children's Foundation provides support to hospitals and hospices across the US, UK, and Australia, delivering happiness to over 60 million children through programs like Starlight Virtual Reality, Starlight Hospital Wear, and Starlight Gaming to bring the very best in gaming, play, and other fun experiences to patients. Because regardless of the sophistication of the illness or injury, a sick kid is still a kid.

Programs from the Starlight Children's Foundation help hospitalized children by alleviating stress and anxiety, helping them feel more comfortable in an unfamiliar environment, letting them socialize with other children going through the same or similar issues, providing emotional support and education through games, and preventing, reducing, or stopping pain sensations associated with medical procedures.

This year, the Team that raises the most money will determine the Discord logo and the subreddit upvote/downvote buttons.

If Team Kylo Ren wins:
 - Kylo Ren will be our Discord icon
 - The upvote button on the subreddit will be the First Order symbol
 - The downvote button on the subreddit will be the Resistance symbol

If Team Rey wins:
 - Rey will be our Discord icon
 - The upvote button on the subreddit will be the Resistance symbol
 - The downvote button on the subreddit will be the First Order symbol

Last year, we managed to raise $1,101.77 during our Charity Event, our goal this year is to beat that number!
