Liverpool Marathon · 14 October 2012 ·

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

OK, so to confirm...  it is BattyMan as in the play on words "have to be Batty to do such a daft thing.." not the Ali G definition.....

As at Sept 4th:

Speirsy took some time out from running over the summer but thought to undertake the challenge to complete the Liverpool marathon dressed as Batman on the 14th October.

BUT with good grace and fortune, Robin aka Chris Jones, came to his rescue, deciding to take out some time from crime fighting in Wallasey (he's hard as nails) to take on the challenge together and attempting the World Record for the fastest marathon for a Comic Book Hero Duo.  Both of us used to do battle at the finish line in local races in Herts some years ago so we are expected a dash and chests out at the end of the race!

We are inspired to do this for GOSH as Simon knows personally of at least 4 children of friends who have benefitted from the care provided by the hospital.  With 3 children of his own, he only hopes that the cash you give is never needed by them.....

We've put a target on of £500, but would really like to smash that - as well as the 3hours 1min record for a Batman (not sure if there is yet a record for the duo - but we want to set the bar high!)

Many thanks for us both in advance!!!
