Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you will know I was supposed to be running the Edinburgh Marathon on May 24th with some of my Trinity Move chums but with one thing and another it has been postponed.
Without enough training I decided late on to run a marathon closer to home and completed it running to Crieff where I grew up and back today so now officially broken.
It would be great if you could donate even a few pounds.
I am raising funds for the Sandpiper Trust as sadly last year our family lost Fraser to a cardiac arrest so it means a lot to the family to raise money for the sandpiper trust to increase the number of defibrillators and train first responders across Scotland
Sandpiper Trust work to save lives though pre hospital treatment with the provision of appropriate, standardised and uniform medical equipment, known as Sandpiper Bags, for use by specially trained GPs, community nurses, paramedics and A&E Consultants, all of whom operate on a voluntary basis. And now this extends to non-medical volunteers, who, equipped with defibrillators respond to cardiac arrest call outs through our Wildcat initiative.
Working in conjunction with the Scottish Ambulance Service, our trained and fully equipped responders are primed and ready to act as soon as a high-priority 999 call comes in. They are often the first to arrive at the scene of an accident or emergency, administering vital, pre-hospital care. Put simply, they save lives.
