Be Positive Blood Bikes Challenge

Be Positive Blood Bikes Challenge · 1 May 2020
SERV Herts and Beds are committed to the relief of sickness and protection of health through the provision of a courier service, offered free of charge, to transport blood, human donor milk, samples and other items used for the medical and surgical treatment.
A recent commitment by SERV Herts and Beds Blood Bikes now sees the volunteers delivering MOLOGIC COVID-19 Test kits to hospitals and laboratories across Britain, providing a service that cannot be underestimated to support the NHS and the entire country at this most critical time.
They do this primarily using their own bikes and cars, pay for their own fuel and proudly give their own time whenever called upon. All riders are advanced motorcyclists and are ready to operate 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Their services are needed now more than ever while the country is in lockdown as a result of COVID-19. For more details on the amazing work they do, please visit http://servhertsbeds.squarespace.com/.
SERV Herts and Beds also currently operate 4 fleet bikes which allow riders to carry two boxes of emergency supplies per trip, doubling capability over using private bikes. In these uncertain and troubling times, the fleet need the support of donations as never before to stay on the road.
Our team has direct links to SERV Herts and Beds, volunteering as riders and controllers. We are supporting them and SERV by covering 4900 miles as a team, and supporting each other along the way!
Over the course of May and June, 100 families have been asked to raise £100 to complete a personal distance-related challenge, each contributing to the team goal which reflects the number of deliveries completed by SERV Herts and Beds in the last 3 years.
