Running a Marathon in 2 Weeks · 5 May 2020

Homeless Oxfordshire provides an open door for people whose lives have been shaped by trauma and disadvantage; offering safety, stability and support when it is needed most.

Story

Bea has always shown great concern for homeless people and is very aware of the particular difficulties they will be facing at the moment, due to coronavirus.

Inspired by her gymnastics coach to take up running during lockdown, Bea has decided that she would like to set herself the challenge of running the distance of a marathon in 2 weeks.  Quite a distance for a 9 year old!  She is hoping to raise £300 for Homeless Oxfordshire who are the largest provider of supported temporary accommodation for homeless adults in the county. Each night they accommodate 220 people, and through 11 innovative projects, they provide the person-centred support people need to recover from homelessness for good.

During this national crisis, Homeless Oxfordshire need support to continue to provide for the most vulnerable people in our communities.

Bea would be extremely grateful for any donation you feel you can make.  Thank you for reading her story.
