Story

Ben has made many friends through the game of rugby and it's our opportunity to support Ben, Harrie and Claire, by hosting a charity rugby match in Ben's honour.  Shifting from prop, flirting with a life in the back row, spending some time playing in NZ and settling eventually at prop again, Ben is a players player. A gentleman with the full range of Canterbury training gear and the shiniest boots.

Players are coming out of the woodwork. Some haven't played in years, others had sworn they were retired, but all are going to don a pair of boots and a mouth guard as The Golden Orioles take on a Whitchurch Invitational XV.

We're raising money for Macmillan, a charity close to Ben and Claire's hearts.

Please support us where you can. There is no financial target we wish to achieve.  The only aim is to provide a fitting occasion to demonstrate our support for Ben, Claire and Harriet, along with their family and for me to find some front row to play, so I don't have to play the full 80 minutes!

Luctonians RFC 1300 ko 14 November.
