We help children with serious conditions to understand and manage their illness

Story

On 30th June it is Eilish’s half birthday, her 10 and a half birthday, 6 years previous we celebrated her four and a half year birthday, just 4 months before she passed away.   On 25th July it is Aidan’s 6th birthday, and after a year of treatment for Ewings Sarcoma, we have had a clear scan....hurrah and have a very bouncy, loud full of life little boy.

Both Eilish and Aidan collected the Beads of Courage during their treatment.  Eilish collected 1036 beads and Aidan collected 1034 beads.  Like many charities the support that the Beads of Courage Programme  normally gets has been reduced, due to COVID-19, with no events and no fundraising activities being able to take place.  But that doesn’t stop these little glass beads being just as important for the children and their families to continue their support for their well-being.

The challenge is can I/we run/cycle/walk 1km per bead in the 26 days from 30th June to 25th July.  That’s 2070km in 26 days can you help me  "Beat the Beads"

So sponsor me, donate to take some km’s off me, or donate and add your km’s on.

Here is the link to the google form for you to send me you km's. You can do it per activity, daily or weekly and Aidan & Paul will be colouring in the totaliser so we can see our progress.....
