In January 2018, Becca suffered severe tonsillitis and was treated with antibiotics, a week later she lost her voice. She was told over the next 5 weeks by the doctors it was laryngitis. On the 26th March 2018, she was told that one of her glands in her neck was swollen and it looked like it could be cancer. Becca began her 1st cycle of treatment on the 26th April 2018. She was always optimistic and believed that this would work. After her 1st cycle of treatment she was told that she needed another cycle to target the primary cancer. Unfortunately, the week she was due to start the treatment she lost her battle with cancer. 

Becca was comforted and looked after by the most amazing, loving and supportive staff and patients on the Oncology ward at Clatterbridge, Wirral. She was under the care of Dr Shripidam who worked tirelessly with the whole team to treat Becca's illness. She got unbelievable  round the clock care by everyone and they are an absolute credit to their profession. Becca made friends and bonds with the patients and the nurses during her visits and that is something that we will always cherish. 

For these reasons and we know Becca would want the same if you would like to make a donation in memory of Becca we would ask for them to go towards Clatterbridge so they can continue to develop new treatments, support other patients and hopefully one day find a cure for all cancers.
