In March 2014 my cousin, who is also one of my closet friends started with optic neuritis. In August 2014 after various tests and a lumbar puncture at the age of 41, Donna was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

I never could have imagined how much this has changed Donna’s life.
Her symptoms include pain and numbness in her legs, pins and needles in her arms, headaches and pain in her eyes. Apart from all of this Donna struggles most with fatigue whilst trying to carry on doing normal daily things.

These are all things that I certainly take for granted.

At the moment there is no known cure for MS, the only thing available is medication which can only occasionally help with the symptoms and certainly doesn’t prevent or eliminate them.

Most of you that know me, know that I am NOT a long distance runner!
I want to complete this marathon and raise money for this worthy charity so that they can continue to do their amazing work in advancing their treatments and supporting all those affected by this crippling condition.
