We are official fundraisers for Transplant Sport, fundraising as a father-daughter team for our costs
associated with attending the World Transplant Games, on our mission to raise awareness of organ
donation and increase participation from Coventry.

Organ donation is the gift of life. One donor can save up to nine lives. 6701 people are currently
waiting for a transplant in the UK. We want to raise awareness of the importance of organ donation
by encouraging people to talk to their families about their wishes.

Vince had a kidney transplant 9 years ago after his brother offered to be a donor. This followed a
lifetime of playing and a career in sport. He has now been selected to compete for Team GB in his
4th World Transplant Games and is fortunate to have medalled in his 3 previous games.

 Our goal is
to raise money to support Vince's costs for travelling and competing, and his mission is to medal in
his events. Vince's engagement in transplant sport has helped him to maintain a healthy active
lifestyle, supporting his recovery from his transplant and serious physical health challenges.

After studying undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Psychology, working as a crisis worker
and currently working in a specialist psychiatric hospital, Becky, Vince’s daughter has been selected to be
part of the Medical Physio Team for Team GB Transplant Team. Becky is attending Perth as a
volunteer assistant psychologist. Our goal is to raise £3,500 for her transport and equipment costs to
support the Team GB athletes as they compete in the World Transplant Games in Perth 2023.

Transplant Sport work to raise awareness of organ donation and promote an active lifestyle for
transplant recipients. We want to support them with our fundraising. 

The next British Transplant
Games will be hosted in Coventry in 2023, and our goal is to use Vince’s story to raise awareness of
transplant sport and the health benefits (both mental and physical) being active brings to more local
people, especially through the transplant unit at UHCW to significantly increase the current
members of the Coventry team.
