It is a horrible thing to lose someone you love, as I found out when I first lost my Mummy, then Daddy, to cancer. Luckily, Grief Encounter was there to help my family and me cope. They provided us with amazing support and understanding. Grief Encounter helped me to understand my grief, they gave my family the opportunity to become friends with other bereaved families through numerous social events and most importantly, they helped me learn how to laugh again.

Losing my parents was a huge event which considerably changed my life; Grief Encounter was there to help me cope with these changes.

Grief Encounter was a place where I felt understood; it was a group of people just like me.

 

The Grief Encounter project gave so much to me, so this is my way of giving back. Please help them to continue helping bereaved families like mine.  Your donations will help pay for workshops for bereaved children, for counsellors for one to one or group support or to enable bereaved children to meet socially and learn how to cope without someone who meant so much to them.
