Story
SOOOO...
I don't usually exercise. At all. So in order to motivate myself to get fit and prove that I CAN complete a half marathon of 13.1 miles, I signed up for the Bath Half Marathon on March 6th.
I'm raising money for Send A Cow (www.sendacow.org.uk), and to make things more fun and interesting I thought it'd be great if each donation counted towards a certain gift, whether seeds or a sheep!
If you don't feel too generous you could get together with others to buy something bigger, or contribute to half an animal! Here's an example of what each value equates to:
£5 - Teach Food Nutrition ; £6 - 1 rabbit ; £6 - 1 chicken ; £7 - Compost of manure, urine, plant waste and ash ; £10 - A keyhole garden ; £12 - 4 fruit tree saplings ; £20 - 4 rabbits or 4 chickens ; £33 - 1 sheep ; £40 - Give seeds and tools for one family ; £45 - Beehive ; £58 - 2 local goats ; £78 - 1 donkey
And more choices at http://www.sendacowgifts.org.uk/ !
My aim of 153 would be enough for 4 sheep and 10 chickens (or almost 2 donkeys). Let's send some animals to people who need them. Thank you.
Becky :)
(If you'd rather give me the money in person, that's fine too!)
