Christ Church Surbiton Hill is a vibrant, growing church in Surbiton on the outskirts of London with a congregation of all ages and backgrounds. Our lovely church was built in 1863 and had some extra work down in the 60/70s but is now in urgent need of an update to improve and increase the facilities we have for both our congregation and the community. As a church, we are a community of people from all walks of life who have one thing in common – we have begun to understand that Jesus makes a massive difference to us and our world today. Whether you want to explore what life is about or you are already keen to get involved in the many things going on here, you’ll find a home at Christ Church. Why not get in contact or take a look at our website or social media channels.

Story

Becky & Noah are really excited to be joining other children from their church congregation, their school and the local community to help raise funds to renew Christ Church Surbiton Hill.

As well as being a place of local worship, the church is affiliated to their primary school; Christ Church Primary School, Surbiton. Many school events such as concerts, talks, performances or PSA events are held at and supported by the church, simply because the school's hall is not big enough for such things. The church family also supports the wider local community in many areas such as toddlers groups, local housing estate community events, Kingston's homeless shelter, the local food bank as well as family and marriage courses. In addition, the church is used by community organisations like Brownies, a wind band, an NHS group etc. So for non-Christian's locally, the church building is still a vital community venue in the area and as such we hope everyone will be happy to support our fundraising and redevelopment project, whatever their religious beliefs.

Christ Church was built in 1863 and whilst some building work was carried out in the 1970s, it is now in dire need of renovation to make it a venue suitable for today's needs for worship and the local community.  If you can donate in person that is great as it means 100% goes to charity but if you can't then donating through JustGiving is the next best way; it's simple, fast and secure with a small admin % going to JustGiving.

The kids are really excited to be able to do something themselves rather than just seeing the adults doing things, and Becky doesn't even enjoy running, so if you can support them it would be greatly appreciated!
