This year a team of 10 willing volunteers have agreed to complete the Marathon in two teams in aid of Laura and Andrew Bleakley who are Elim Missionaries in Nepal.

The Bleakley family have been serving in Nepal since July 2012. Andy serves at KISC, a Christian school in Lalitpur, which is committed to seeing lives transformed through education. At KISC, we are passionate about growing like mighty oaks - deeply rooted, established in knowledge and wisdom. We are also passionate about bringing physical and spiritual healing to those in need. There are three elements to KISC:

K-13 international Christian school with over 200 students.
EQUIP programme, which works in partnership with local government and communities to provide practical teacher training, parent workshops and leadership development training to help transform over 30 government, private and community schools nationwide.
Transformational Education College (TEC). The vision of KISC TEC comes from the desire to expand EQUIP training to provide graduate and post graduate education, starting with a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
Laura, meanwhile is involved with several local projects including a large state-run children's home and two craft groups. She has a passion for women's ministry and seeing seemingly hopeless lives transformed through God's saving and restorative grace. The rest of her time is spent bringing up our two precious children, Asher and Hadassah. Asher attends a local play group whilst Hadassah enjoys being her mother's little helper!


The team of 10 will split into two teams and both complete the marathons full 26 miles in Relay format. The two teams consist of the following people; Pastor John Lowry, Jonathan Lowry, Charmaine McBride, Hayley Lanyon, Mark Macpherson, Gerald Treacy, Meredith Telford Michael Osbourne, Joe Mahon, and Alex McCord.
