Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon 2019 · 5 May 2019 ·

At Northern Ireland Hospice, we care for more than 4,000 babies, children and adults with life-limiting illnesses, both in Hospice and in the community. We look after every patient's nursing, medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs with support for their family continuing into bereavement.

Story

Under the direction of our team captain Claire McCartney, we are once again putting on our running shoes to tackle the Belfast City Marathon on May 5th 2019.  We have managed to scrape together a few teams of enthusiastic athletes who will be running the marathon to raise some funds for the NI Hospice.  We are doing this to support our wonderful friend and colleague Julie Mahood following the death of her beloved husband Gordie in February this year.

By day, our budding runners are midwives, doctors and maternity support workers and so are asking our lovely friends and colleagues to donate generously to this great cause.  Thanks to all who are taking part in this massive team effort.  So, taking part we have....Helen Goodall, Janine Deaney, Maxine Tormey, Katie Johnston, Claire McCartney, Heather Watson, Jennifer Clougherty, Gillian Campbell, Michelle McMaster, Julie Reid, Courtney Blair, Janet Best, Barbara MacAfee, Kelly Reilly, Caroline McCargo, Gillian Morrow, Brenda Kelly, Lisa Darrah, Patrice McKenna, Roisin Slane, Rachael Morton, Rachel Flynn, Jayne Loughran, Esther Gordon, Jackie Stacey, Adeeb Khan, Roisin Cosgrove, Megan Fitzsimmons, Siobhan McCartney, Mary Manning, Debbie Garland, Bronagh Scott, Donna McIntyre, Karina Leks, Chloe McHaffie...may the best team win!
