Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are in the fortunate position of not having to have experienced the fantastic work of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice first hand. However last year, our (Sandra & Sue) dad (Grandad of Charlie) was wrongly diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer and this certainly bought home the impact that cancer has, not only on the patient but to the entire family. Sue's husband is a Funeral Director by trade and deals with families that have had the expert care and support of Douglas Macmillan and there is nothing but praise for them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
