Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Okay, here's the sales pitch...
After completing many half marathons it's now time to take the next step and conquer the big one. After narrowly missing out on the British Olympic team for London 2012, I've had to curb my ambitions and have been fortunate enough to secure a place in the London Marathon running for the Back Up.
Back Up is a charity that supports people with a spinal cord inqury realise their full potential. I have previously been involved with Back Up's Push events, helping wheelchair users get to the top of Snowdon or Helvellyn for the last 8 years. As someone who really appreciates their sport I'd really like Back Up to be there if anything were ever to happen to me.
I think it is common knowledge that I enjoy the odd drink or two so as well as trudging hundreds of miles around the streets and hills of Sheffield in preparation for the big day, I have also decided to abstain from alcohol consumption for 5 weeks - enough said!!!
All joking aside, Back Up is a great charity that changes people's lives, so please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you!
