I hadn't run since school, 30 years ago.  I got into running through lockdown in 2020 and immediately fell in love with it.  The buzz of adrenaline shooting around your system, the rhythmic beats of your feet hitting the floor, your heart beating and music through the headphones.  It was total escapism and a freeness that a could take you as far as your body would allow.  But there are limitations on what we can achieve.  This made me think about people that live day to day with limits as to what their body can achieve through disability.  I decided that I would push my body and try to raise money to support a charity that supports people living with disability.  Leonard Cheshire is a fantastic charity that supports disabled people by lifting their limits and allowing people to live their lives without barriers and feel free.

I will be running the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon on Sunday 3rd October.  My goal is to run under 4 hours and I am training for 4 months in the run up.  If anyone is there on the day, let me know as I would love to see you around the course.
