Virgin London Marathon 2016 · 24 April 2016 ·

Our mission at Terrence Higgins Trust is to end new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030; to empower and support people living with HIV to lead healthy lives; and to amplify the voices of those affected by HIV to eradicate stigma and discrimination.

Story

Hi All. On the 24th April at the London Marathon I'll be attempting the world record for 'Marathon Dressed as a Dinosaur.' I have a nice hot suit to wear and promise to high five anyone who shouts my name (B-Rex!) on route. A double high five if you donate any money! The current record is 3hrs 30, so its not a walk in the park. Any donation will be much appreciated.

As many of you know, I spent much of last year riding across Africa. The continent is an exciting and progressive place, but AIDS is hindering much of this development. In Malawi 1 in 7 adults is HIV positive and in South Africa one in four females and one in five males aged 20 to 40 is estimated to be infected. Terence Higgins aims to promote education into the causes of the disease as well as funding research and treatment - a bit of cash could help save the lives of millions.
