Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Theo and I have decided we are mad enough to battle the 100-mile course of RideLondon 2020 in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. The course takes in large parts of London and the Surrey hills, including the famous Leith and Box hills (eek...).
We each have to raise £500 as a minimum but, of course, we'd like to smash through that and any donation you can spare makes a big difference and makes our decision to ride 100 miles, inland, during the hottest month of the year, worth it.
Across the UK
- Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men.
- Over 47,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year – that's 129 men every day.
- Every 45 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 11,000 men every year.
- 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.
- Around 400,000 men are living with and after prostate cancer.(Prostate Cancer UK, 2017)
