Ben Warry's Just Giving Page - Cancer Research UK

2017 Great Newham Run · 2 July 2017 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Those of you that know me, know that I have taken up running again. Those of you that know me very well will know that I stopped/found it difficult to run as I suffer from an incurable disease called Ulcerative Colitis, meaning that I spent more time in bed or in hospital then I did in my running trainers. Ulcerative colitis is a disease that increases your risk of getting bowel cancer by around 10% (it is cancers like this, bowel, testicular etc. that need our help more than ever as research into their cure is so underfunded). This thus, went some way in helping me make a decision as to which charity to run for.
Like I said, those who know me will have additional knowledge about just how much I idealised my grandfather. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away after suffering for far too long with cancer. This therefore provides the second and most important reason why I am doing this!
To beat cancer so that individuals, families and friends don't have to worry anymore about having cancer or losing a loved one too is my aim!!!
Please, open your wallet. Donate anything you can, small or large. As one supermarket chain once said "every little helps".
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you so much!
Ben
