London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·

We’re Age UK and we’re here to make sure every older person feels included and valued. Whether it’s providing free information and advice, tackling loneliness and isolation or campaigning for older people’s rights – we’ll be there. Your support makes it possible.

Story

Ben Lawton and James Wilson will attempt to single handedly take on the Virgin London Marathon on the 23rd of August 2017 on behalf of Custom Controllers UK who will match donations raised on the Just Giving page. Both aged 22 with absolutely no Marathon experience what so ever but with great determination to get over that finish line.

Age UK's sister charity helps older people to live with dignity in some of the world's poorest countries and we understand Age UK combats loneliness in elderly people, we have all just spent Christmas with our loved ones and I think we are all in agreement that this would be the worst time of year to be lonely. The money raised would be used to support people like this, this is a matter which is very close to home for many of us and we want to make as much of a difference as we can for as many people as possible.

How Age UK Supports:

• We provide information UK
and advice
• We deliver and work to transform health and care services
• We deliver and work to transform wellbeing services
• We campaign and research
• We support the Age UK network • We work internationally

Custom Controllers UK will also be making a large donation to support both Ben & James during this very difficult challenge!
