Story
Hello!
Thanks for taking the time to look at my donation page for Everest Base Camp 2010 in aid of Cure Leukaemia.
Departing November 2010, the trek will last for 3 weeks peaking at the end of the 2nd week at the summit of Kala Pattar (18470ft / 5630m) and Everest base camp itself. It's probably going to be a bit tricky to breathe! We will vist several Nepalese villages along the way and be staying in a variety of accommodation from tents to tea houses.
The trek is one of many such events organised by "Redventure" in support of Cure Leukaemia. 25,000 new cases of leukaemia or related disorders develop every year in the United Kingdom. The money raised by Cure Leukaemia helps fund the Centre for Clinical Haematology at the University Hospital Birmingham, a unit dedicated to the research that will eventually cure the many varients of this disease.
