Ambitious about Autism is the National Charity for autistic children and young people championing their rights and creating opportunities. They stand with autistic children and young people by providing services, raising awareness, understanding and by campaigning for change.

Story

My name is Benedict I am in year 1, infants' school and a passionate chess player. Someone close to me was diagnosed with autism when he was 4 and now I have the chance to play chess to help people understand what autism is and give young autistic people the opportunity to become employable and independent. The charity Ambitious about Autism is leading a project called Autism Exchange and on the 9th of May six Autistic young entrepreneurs will speak about their experiences in London for young autistic people to attend. I would like to raise money to make this conference a success, I will be playing kids older than me in a chess tournament and I hope to raise enough money to make this conference possible.
