Story

Possibly the UK's toughest obstacle course? Maybe.

Possibly the UK's most action-packed run? Maybe.

The must do event of 2012? Definitely!

Almost 30 Berkeley Homes Urban Renaissance Staff are taking part in Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest’ taking place on Saturday 17 November 2012 around Battersea Power Station.

As darkness descends, the floodlights around the Power Station will be switched on and we will be staging our Survival by Night 5K, packing 90% of the 10k obstacles into a 5k course, but featuring 0% of the daylight!

The course is littered with obstacles as runners attempt to reach the finish line, via a smorgasbord of jumps, crawls, dips, ducks and dives, plus immersion in water, ice, coal and sludge to name but a few! The Power Station itself will also be visited and runners will get to experience the interior of this cavernous building up close and personal.

The following staff are attempting to survive the day:

Brian McBrearty

Chris Barnes

David Sfikas

Emma Holloway

We’re all taking part in the event to support two deserving charities; Thrive and Demelza. Thrive uses gardening to change the lives of disabled people, either through formal structured gardening programmes or informally in their own gardens. Demelza is a children’s hospice based in Kent and the South East.

Any money raised will be match funded by the Berkeley Group. Therefore any support that you can give will be greatly appreciated.
