Bernie Schumann was a well known figure on the London club scene for three decades, promoting some of the first house parties, and clubs including the legendary Club UK, The Leisure Lounge, Paddocks, Space (ibiza),Bagleys Warehouse, Futures, The Crypt, The Yorkshire Grey, The Wine Cellar, the list goes on and on. Unfortunately he was taken from us in 2009 through diabetes related illness that had plagued him for a number of years.
We are having a party to raise money for the Diabetes UK charity as this disease seems to affect so many people that we all know and love these days, and dedicating it to the memory of our dear friend Bernie.
A host of legendary DJ's that all knew Bernie and often played at parties organised by him have come together to help us put on this amazing fund raising event.
DJ's include:
NICKY HOLLOWAY
BRANDON BLOCK
STEVE PROCTOR
ROY THE ROACH
LUVDUP
PAUL KELLY
STEVE HARVEY
BIKO
ROB ROAR
JAMIE TOLLEY
SCOTT RALPH
Plus more still to be announced!!!!
The party will start at 6pm and go on till 1am.
Admission will be a minimum donation of just £5.00 all of which will go directly to the DIABETES UK charity. Of course if you'd like to donate more that would be amazing and every penny will be gratefully accepted.
If you knew Bernie personally, or if you knew of him, or attended any of the events and parties that he put on we would love to see you on this special night.
Even if you didn't know him but love house music and any of the DJ's that will be playing and want to make a difference by helping raise money for the Diabetes UK charity then come along and join us for what promises to be a fantastic night!!
