Story

This year’s Burnley 10k is going to be bigger and better than ever before as Burnley FC mascot Bertie Bee is donning his trainers to take part in support of Burnley FC in the Community!

As part of an exciting incentive, The Ark Caterers of Colne Road in Burnley, are offering every BFCitC runner the chance to win one of their FREE delicious, homemade pies if they beat Bertie in the 10k on Sunday 15th July!

Bertie will wearing his BFCitC t-shirt with pride to raise funds to support Burnley FC's official charity. During the course of the 2016/17 season BFCitC engaged with 24,000 people, delivering 35 community projects across five key areas, sport, education, health, social inclusion and community facilities.

By sponsoring Bertie you will be helping BFCitC in their mission to inspire, support and deliver change to those in the local community who need help most. If you could donate it would be very much appreciated by everybody at Burnley FC in the Community, your donations really do make a difference!

About the charity

BFCitC deliver over 50 community projects that touch the lives of people, from preschool through to pensioners, in and around Burnley. We rely on fundraising, donations and grants to do the work we do and every penny goes towards developing new opportunities for those who need it most.
