Story
The day Alice was born we where told she had Down Syndrome. It was the most emotional and memorable day of mine and Warren's lives. The journey that lay ahead for our family was unknown. But, what a journey it's been!
I want to give back to a charity that has walked side by side with Alice and our family through out the journey.
Down Syndrome Group Northamptonshire provides Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Signing classes, information, emotional support and so much more. The simple aim of the group is for members to lead full lives.
The group is no longer just our friends their part of our family. We all work together to make our kids be the best they can be.
I also want to give to a fund for a new bus for Alice's Special School Unit. Alice gets out every week on the bus where they learn life skills, about shopping, get horse ridding, visit local areas of interest and much more. The high light of her week and she loves it! It's all paid for by charity and parents and the present bus is VERY OLD.
