Story

Sullivan’s Heroes is a charity offering support and financial assistance for families raising essential funds for vital home adaptations for a disabled child, to continue to care for their child at home, safely and with dignity.

I am raising funds along with the amazing help and support of Sullivan’s Heroes, for my precious son. He has a great sense of humour and a wonderful smile even throughout everything he deals with.

He’s has multiple diagnoses and goes through a huge amount in his life.  Due to his severe epilepsy, which has deteriorated greatly over the last few years meaning he needs oxygen at home, and a big change in his mobility, he is in desperate need of a downstairs bedroom and wet room. I want to be able to make him a safe place where he can relax and rest for years to come.

It will mean that on bad days we don’t have to try and navigate stairs for the safety of him and myself. The older he gets the less manageable it has become due to his deterioration. He also spends a lot of time in his wheelchair now so we need to make everything accessible to him.

The project is huge and incredibly expensive and we are hoping to fundraise a chunk of money to be put towards costs.

Thank you for reading and we will be eternally grateful for any donations we receive.
