Story
I joined SJA with a friend in January 2012 and I’ve stayed for this long because I’ve seen the amazing work we can do, the quality of care we give and the amazing people who volunteer for this charity. Apparently no better way to further show my devotion to this charity than jumping out a plane!
After being postponed from early 2020, myself and other members from my unit are going to be skydiving from 15,000ft in Easter 2021. The money raised will go towards providing life-saving first aid training, event coverage and vaccination support programmes!
In what has been an uncertain year or so, SJA has pulled through and upped their support in the community.
Personally, I have been helping with training events, my youth unit and volunteering at local COVID-19 vaccination sites.
Any and every donation will be highly appreciated!
This is how your donation will help:
£5 could provide a volunteer with the kit they need to save a life.
£10 a month for a year could pay for an SJA trainer to teach first aid to a class of 32 people.
£20 a month for a year could cover the costs of a first aid response unit for three hours.
£25 could pay for 200 first aid guides, providing essential advice on how to treat five common conditions where first aid could be the difference between life and death
£40 could pay for an hour of first aid training, long enough to learn how to treat an unconscious person, use and AED and treat everything from cuts to choking.
£150 could pay for a first aid mannequin to teach resuscitation.
£1500 could pay for an automated external defibrillator (AED), which can prove vital to the resuscitation process following a cardiac arrest
Thank you in advance xx
