Beth's getting her hair chopped and donating it for charity!

Getting my hair chopped and donating it for charity · 1 April 2017
I have always wanted to do something to raise money for charity, especially a charity that does great work to support cancer sufferers, as both my great Nan and Granddad Charlie sadly passed away after battling the disease.
The Prospect Hospice provided rest bite and end of life care for both my Nan and Granddad and it was a real comfort for our family to know that they were happy and well cared for there in a non-clinical environment.
I recently heard about another charity, The little Princess Trust, that provide wigs to children who have lost their own hair through chemotherapy. I thought about how often I have taken my long hair for granted and how hard it must be lose all of your hair and suffer a dramatic change in your appearance as well as all the other nasty emotional and physical effects that cancer brings with it.
I don't need my hair as much as somebody else who has lost theirs and therefore thought why not take the plunge and have it all chopped off so that it can be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair.
I'd like to raise money for the Prospect Hospice in the process and therefore have decided to go for a really short hair cut, something that will be totally weird for me so that I can maximize the amount of hair that I can donate and also make this more of a challenge.
I am hoping to get this done by the end of April/ early May and I have set a goal of raising at least £500 for the Prospect Hospice :)
